Charis has been practicing law since 1990. He is a member of the Athens Bar Association and has been admitted to practice before the Supreme Court.

He is the founder and managing partner of Vassilogeorgis & Partners.

A business law specialist, Charis advises on a wide range of complex national or international transactions —restructurings, mergers, acquisitions and funding schemes, among others— both on a national and on an international level. He has many years of experience acting as legal counsel for a great number of businesses, providing legal advice and handling complex cases and contracts but also appearing before courts to represent his clients. He oversees and manages the team of lawyers handling bad debt and enforcement law cases for our banking sector and debt management clients.

Whether as a legal advisor or as a member of the Board of Directors, in the last 20 years he has helped develop strategies or shape business policies for a large number of listed and unlisted companies, including PPC SA, ELGEKA SA, INTERCOM SA, PCDC SA (joint venture Cosco/Diakinisis), AGROPHOENIX SA, etc.

With a thorough grasp of the commercial and operational aspect of his clients’ business activities, Charis’ input contributes decisively to strategy development and helps management teams make informed decisions, while his legal advice shields companies against future risks. As part of his duties as a member of EFG EUROBANK's legal management team both in Athens and in Thessaloniki for more than 15 years, he has held various responsible positions and has had the occasion to handle the whole spectrum of the bank’s retail and corporate banking services from a legal perspective, as well as a number of complex cases arising within the organisation.

He has served as special adviser to the Ministry of Development on corporate law issues.
