KTEL Thessalonikis: Participation in international public tender

We are proud that we supported KTEL THESSALONIKIS for its participation in the first phase of the Public International Tender by means of the Competitive Dialogue Procedure on the award of a contract for the provision of public passenger transport services by bus in the area of responsibility of the Thessaloniki Transport Authority through the National Electronic Public Procurement System (NEPPS).

The subject of the contract is the provision of (regular and flexible) passenger transport services in the suburban and partly in the urban network of the wider Thessaloniki area, which is within the area of responsibility of Thessaloniki Transport Authority. The contract will have a duration of 10+1 years (132 months). A period of up to one (1) year will be the transition period from the contract sign up to the date of commencement of the services and the rest ten (10) years will be the period of services with the possibility of a time extension of up to five (5) additional years, provided that specific conditions to be determined by the Contracting Entity in the second phase of the tender - that comply with the provisions of Regulation 1370/07 - are met.

The minimum work to be performed by the contractor is 20.000.000 vehicle kilometres per year.

The tender, with a budget that exceeds the amount of € 600,000,000, has attracted 4 joint ventures, 3 of which are of foreign interests.
